All of the projects are fabric post cards with an applique in the center and I will bead them to finish them before mailing. I used fusible web to secure all my pieces together. I started with my fabric, my applique, the peltex, and the card stock. I made a few mistakes that made this process difficult. I fused the applique to the fabric, using an iron to heat set the webbing. I then fused the fabric to the peltex and put the second layer of fusible webbing on the back. I usually wait until I am done embelishing my projects to put the second fusible webbing on the back, but today I just wasn't thinking straight. So the beading process was very difficult. I decided to wait until my next day off to finish these projects.

I finished and mailed a just to say hello to my soon to be mother in law, she likes bears. I traced the image of a bear on a piece of muslin, then I used crayola crayons and colored the fabric. I used an iron set on the cotton setting to heat set the crayons. It is important to color lightly, and have several layers. Cover the top and bottom of the muslin with parchment paper so the wax does not get on anything you don't want it to. I then cut out the bear, and used heat set fusible webbing to secure the bear to my tie dyed peltex. I embelished the edge of the bear with beads. Finally I used a straight stitch about a quarter of an inch from the edge of the postcard, I also cut the very edge with pinking shears. I hope she likes it.
Have a great night. When I finish these projects I will post the finished post cards.
